Individuals who wish to dispose of items/garbage must be able to provide proof that they are residents of the city. A water bill or driver license will suffice. Contractors will not be allowed to utilize the dumpsters. The following items cannot be accepted at the drop-off points: tires\, chemicals (including uncertified air conditioners\, freezers and refrigerators)\, liquid paint\, pesticides\, oil\, oil containers and oil filters.\n\n \n\nO'Reilly Auto Parts at 320 South Covington Street will be the drop off location for oil and batteries. The items must be registered with store employees before they are left.\n\n \n\nThe Hillsboro Independent School District is again generously providing the Eagle Field parking lot as one of the staging locations. Dumpsters will be set up at Eagle Field from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Items will also be accepted at the City of Hillsboro Public Works Department\, 318 Morgan Street\, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.\n\n \n\nFor more information\, to volunteer or for community service hours contact the Hillsboro Police Department\, weekdays at 254-582-2381
