Organized in 1874\, the church has served Hillsboro for more than 150 years and continues its mission of "Making Disciples of Jesus as we Worship\, Connect\, and Serve Together."\n\nThe church provides Sunday worship\, Sunday School for all ages\, children's programs\, youth ministry\, adult discipleship\, music ministry\, women's ministry\, missions and outreach\, and family-focused activities. First Baptist also serves young families through First Baptist WEE School\, offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays\, and provides AWANA Clubs during the school year for children.
