DESCRIPTION:STAR PARTY ALERT! \n\nJoin us for an unforgettable night under the stars!\n\n Date: April 12\, 2025\n\n Start Time: 8:00 PM\n\n Location: Park across from the Group Rec Hall - follow the signs to the viewing site\n\nWe'll be gazing at the Full Moon and spotting some amazing constellations\, including:\n\n Orion: Known as the "Hunter\," Orion is one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky.\n\n Canis Major: Home to Sirius\, the brightest star in the sky\, often called the "Dog Star."\n\n Gemini: Representing the twins\, Castor and Pollux\, this constellation is all about brotherly love.\n\n Perseus: Named after the Greek hero who saved Andromeda from a sea monster.\n\n Taurus: The mighty bull\, home to the famous Pleiades star cluster!\n\nWhat to bring:\n\n A blanket or chair for comfort\n\n A telescope\, red flashlight or binoculars (if you have one!)\n\nA telescope will be provided!\n\n Warm clothing (it can get chilly)\n\n Snacks & drinks for a cozy evening\n\n Your curiosity and love for the night sky! \n\nTo make your day pass reservations\, visit: https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/reservations/ or contact CSC at (512) 389-8900\, Monday Friday\, from 8 AM to 5 PM.\n\nDon't forget to STOP at HQs to pay your entry fees before the Star Party\, thank you!\n\nLet's explore the wonders of the night sky together.
