DESCRIPTION:The Hill County Area Go Texan Committee has announced the date for this year's fund-raising dinner\, drawing and dance for its scholarship fund.\n\n\n\nThe large annual event will be held Saturday\, August 23 2025\, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in West\, Texas.  Tickets are $150 per couple\, which includes two draws from the hopper\, and steak dinner and drinks.\n\n\n\nThis year's grand prize will be $6\,500\, plus there will be three gun raffles and other drawings.  The Mark Fields Band will provide the dancing entertainment for the evening.\n\n\n\nSince becoming a Go Texan county in 1991\, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Association and the Hill County local committee has awarded over $800\,000 in scholarships. The 2024 event generated $38\,000 that was recently awarded to Hill County high school senior scholarships.\n\n\n\nTickets are available from committee members or by calling Ambassador Jennifer Nowlin at 254-205-3795.  The public's support of the fundraiser will be appreciated.
