Churrofest 2025 - Festival and Concerts in Hillsboro, Texas

Here’s how we ChurroFEST!
This is a family-friendly festival with children’s activities, vendors, adult activities, and big concerts around the courthouse square.

Fun Zone - 10:30 am - 4:00 pm
Children’s ultimate bounce house experience with safe, bouncy inflatable fun for kids of all ages. Tickets $1/minute. Fun Zone is provided by Eastland Title, Kid’s Space Indoor Play Center, and The Fun Zone – downtown Hillsboro.

Courthouse Lawn Games – 10:30 am to 10:00 pm
Take your turn on the putt putt course and enjoy other games under the big shade trees on the Hill County courthouse lawn.
You are welcome to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy some R&R while you take in the beautiful surroundings of our historic downtown.
Adults and supervised children are welcome to enjoy this experience.

Margarita Walk is BACK! 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
7 participating locations throughout Hillsboro Main Street are mixing up specialty margaritas, each with a different “flair” – aka flavor. Buy a souvenir glass, stroll on the margarita trail through downtown, sip and score each margarita by scanning the QR at each location, and enjoy the experience.

*Pick up M-F (8am - 5pm) before ChurroFest at the City Administration Building – 214 E Elm
*Day of the Event Margarita Glasses Availability – Visit the City of Hillsboro Booth by the Concert Main Stage to redeem your prepay ticket, or buy tickets (while supplies last).
Must be 21+ to participate. Drink responsibly. The Margarita Walk is sponsored by Julie Siddons Realtors & Hill County Insurance.

Find the Churros! + Vote for Your Favorite.
Fresh Churros are amazing. There are 12 Churro vendors who are competing for the Best Churro Trophy! Sample one of them, or sample them all. Each churro can be awarded up to 5 starts, vote by scanning the QR code located at each participating Churro vendor. The churro with the most stars will take home the 2025 BEST CHURRO TROPHY!

8 PM - Jerry Deleon and Southbound
9 PM - Paul Wall

The History of Churro’s in our region:
Churros were introduced to Mexico by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century, likely during the Spanish colonial period.
The popularity of churros in Mexico, and their specific regional variations, developed over time, with Mexican churros often featuring cinnamon & sugar. A Spanish immigrant named Francisco Iriate brought churros to Mexico City in the 1930s, establishing the oldest churrería in the city, El Moro, which continues to be a popular establishment.

ChurroFEST is an annual festival in Hillsboro, Texas, presented by Hillsboro Main Street ,and the City of Hillsboro.
