Fireflies on the Fairway at Hillsboro Country Club

Experience an evening of music, community, and bioluminescent wonder at Fireflies on the Fairway — a FREE Main Street Field Trip to the Hillsboro Country Club featuring live music, food, themed cocktails, and a guided firefly walk under the night sky.

The evening will feature live bossa nova music by the Noah Alvarado Band, food available for purchase from Brewer’s Bistro, and themed cocktails at the clubhouse bar.
 

At sunset, entomologist Ben Pfeiffer will lead a guided Firefly Walk across the course, sharing insight into the fascinating flash patterns and behaviors of Texas fireflies, including the rare species recently documented in Hillsboro. With its creek beds, mature trees, and relatively dark nighttime conditions, the Hillsboro Country Club has become one of the area’s most active and visually impressive firefly viewing locations.
 

Guests are welcome to join the walk or simply relax on the clubhouse deck and enjoy the evening atmosphere as fireflies begin to appear across the course.
