Hill College Players present comedy on the works of William Shakespeare this March
Hillsboro, Texas—This March, the Hill College Players present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)[revised][again].
This newest rendition of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare—written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield with revisions by Singer and Winfield and produced by special arrangement with Broadway Play Publishing Inc.—presents all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in a single performance.
“Armed with a demented bravado that more than compensates for their deficits in dramaturgy and rehearsal time, our heroes sally heedlessly forth, deftly mangling some of the finest theatrical works in history for our bafflement and delight.”—Applause Theatre & Cinema Books
“Our production features six actors taking on all of Bard's [Shakespeare’s] 37 plays in an adrenaline-fueled, madcap attempt at bringing the entire Shakespearean canon to the audience in one performance,” said Dr. Jennifer Corder, professor of drama & Phi Theta Kappa advisor.
The Players have a history of producing quality theater performances for the Hillsboro community. Each year students and faculty from various disciplines come together to put on a series of performances. Students featured in this performance include Kace Davis, who is earning an associate degree in general studies for allied health; Alicia Hernandez, Russell Hollins, Jack McAodhagain, and Kayley Myers, who are all earning an associate degree in drama & theater; and Aphi Keller, who is earning an associate degree in business. Stage Manager Hannah Roznowski is earning her associate degree in drama & theater. Assistant Stage Manager Blake Welch is earning an associate degree in criminal justice.
