Animal Management for Solar Farm Maintenance

Brazos Vegetation Management is a fast-growing, family-owned business specializing in targeted
grazing on solar sites with sheep and managing overgrown areas with goats.
Job Duties
• Moving sheep or goats every 3–6 days under a rotational grazing plan using electric fencing.
• Doctoring, sorting, and castrating.
• Working with stockdogs and livestock guardian dogs.
• Operating zero-turn mowers, tractor shredders, and other equipment.
• General maintenance and repair of equipment (mechanical skills increase pay).
• Setting up and taking down electric fencing.
• Occasional permanent fence construction.

Work–Life Balance & Pay:
STARTING PAY: $38,000+ / year
Higher pay with experience, livestock skills, and mechanical ability.
• Livestock come first — this is agriculture.
• Some Saturdays off.
• Sundays off allowed; extra pay for Sunday animal checks.
• Holidays off.
• Paid time off with advance notice.
• Opportunity to own your own sheep/goats and use company resources.
• End-of-year bonuses.
• Truck stipends if applicable.
