DESCRIPTION Peede & Associates Land Surveyors, LTD specializes in large rural boundary surveys with over 40 years’ experience throughout Texas including nearly 20 years’ experience in Hill County. Our skilled team includes two Registered Professional Land Surveyors to ensure all work meets technical requirements and legal standards. Our small staff size enables us to communicate efficiently between field and office. Our field crews are equipped with conventional total station instruments and GPS equipment with data collectors. Peede & Associates is seeking a highly motivated and energetic self-starter looking for the opportunity to grow and join our team as a full-time Party Chief at our Hillsboro office. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, you will provide expertise to support projects and clients in performing a range of surveys. Work may include: ? Residential lot surveys. ? Boundary/Title surveys. ? Construction staking. Pay commensurate with experience and includes paid holidays and vacation. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Five years of field experience preferred but not required, including 2 years of directly supervising others. Training will be provided and may be used to substitute the experience requirement. • Ability to regularly work outside in all weather conditions including extreme temperatures and wet/muddy areas. • Ability to safely traverse and navigate rugged terrain in remote areas. • Ability to transport heavy equipment to jobsites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds). • Ability to work occasional extended hours. • Familiarity with GPS and data collection to accurately operate and adjust survey measuring instruments including levels, GPS equipment, and total stations with electronic data collecting capabilities. • Perform mathematical calculations and field checking of field data. • Take accurate and clear notes with attention to detail. • Reads and understands plans and specifications. • Cut and clear brush and trees, when necessary, utilizing a machete, brush hook or chain saw. • Keep survey crew vehicle supplied with equipment; clean and organize vehicle. • Must pass background check, have a valid driver license, and have an insurable driving record. • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and/or supervisor. • May also perform some office duties, including records research, data reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs. • Must be self-motivated and independent worker with an ability to work within a team.
